A LITTLE REASSURANCE

Your questions, answered.

Can I get an urgent appointment?

Call or message us and we'll look for the earliest appointment available. We can't guarantee a particular time, but we'll let you know what we can offer.

I have toothache. What should I do?

Contact us to arrange an assessment. Over-the-counter pain relief may help in the meantime; always follow the instructions on the packet and ask a pharmacist if you're unsure what is suitable for you.

I've chipped or broken a tooth.

Get in touch and tell us what's happened. If you can, keep any broken piece and bring it with you. A dentist will check the tooth at your appointment.

My filling or crown has come out.

Contact us to arrange an appointment. If a crown has come off, keep it safe and bring it with you.

What if my face or gums are swollen?

Contact us about gum soreness or mild swelling. If swelling is spreading, affects your eye or neck, or you have a fever or difficulty breathing or swallowing, call 999 or go to A&E straight away. If you're unsure, call NHS 111.

What can I take for pain relief?

A pharmacist can advise on over-the-counter pain relief that's suitable for you. Don't exceed the stated dose, and don't place painkillers directly on the gum.

What should I have ready when I contact you?

Your name, a phone number, a short description of the problem, when it started, and whether you've seen us before.

Ready to speak to our team?

A conversation is the first step. We'll take it from there.
